from £7.50Bohea Lapsang
This remarkable Lapsang tea comes from the lower hills of the Wuyi Mountain range in Eastern China. The tea grows in soil which naturally gives the leaf a light tarry character, which is enhanced further by firing the tea over wood chippings to produce a fine, light smokiness. A sophisticated afternoon tea, which is excellent with cakes and sandwiches. James Bond in a cup.
The perfect cup:
Use one teaspoon per cup. Use freshly drawn boiled water and infuse for 3 to 5 minutes according to personal taste.

Please take this with a grain of salt, we're American (gasp!). My roommate and I found Tea on a recent vacation to London and got a pot each of this (she couldn't resist "James Bond in a cup") and the Rose. Admittedly the smoky note is a little heavier than expected and was a bit too much for my mate's tastes. If you've tried Russian Caravan tea then it's rather similar. Overall it's a very full, masculine sort of taste if that makes any sense, but also quite smooth. For what the tea is I think it's quite well done... Just not our cup of tea.
