That is why we have started selling our teas through carefully selected third party retailers and food service businesses. Tea is an online and bricks and mortar tea business founded by Daren and Suzanne Spence. We opened the doors of our tea shop near St. Paul’s Cathedral in London in 2007 and started selling our teas online at www.wearetea.com in 2008.
We love tea and traditional values, but we don’t like chintz. Our aim is to make the often complex and daunting world of speciality tea more open and accessible to our customers and, above all, to celebrate the British love affair with tea.
We are committed to sourcing the finest loose leaf teas on the planet and our commitment to quality was recently recognised at the 2009 Great Taste Awards where we swept the board with all 8 teas entered achieving at least one coveted gold star and five achieving two gold stars. Tea was also awarded 'Best Performance by a First Time Entrant' at the 2009 Great Taste Awards ceremony held at Fortnum & Masons.
We offer a selection of black, oolong, green and white teas and herbal infusions, or opt for our super tea range, each blend specially designed to offer additional health benefits according to the combination of natural ingredients.
Having a successful customer facing tea shop means that we are uniquely placed to provide our wholesale customers with real and up-to-date insights into what teas are in demand and current trends. In short we know what sells and how to sell it.
